About Kelley:
Born: September 6, 1983, Ottawa, ON
Kelley got hooked on riding when she attended a local summer camp at the age of ten. At 13, she began training with Canadian Equestrian Team member, Jill Henselwood, who would coach her through a successful junior career that included a Team Gold (2000) and Team Bronze (2001) as a member of the Ontario Junior Team at North American Young Riders, the Douglas M. Catto Memorial Trophy (2003), a first place finish in the $10,000 National Talent Squad Phase II Championship at the 2003 Royal Horse Show, and being the top Canadian at the 2004 North American Young Riders Championships.
Kelley made her grand prix debut in 2004. She ended the season tied for third place in the Canadian League World Cup Standings and was named to the 2005 Canadian Equestrian Team Short List.
After a successful 2005 summer tour at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Kelley was named to “Team Molson”, a program for aspiring world class show jumping athletes. Her 2005 season included numerous placings in internationally-ranked Grand Prixs in Canada and the U.S. which again earned Kelley a spot on the Canadian Equestrian Team.
Success continued for Kelley in 2006 with many top ten Grand Prix results including her first Grand Prix victory at the Kentucky Spring Classic, a second and fourth place finish in two World Cup Qualifiers and a fifth place finish at both the U.S. Grand Prix League Final and the Canadian Show Jumping Championship. Kelley was again named to “Team Molson” and earned a spot on the 2007 Canadian Equestrian Team.
Kelley's 2007 show season was cut short by a serious injury. But she was back in action for 2008 with numerous grand prix placings including 5th in the $75,000 Wellington G.P. (Calibur), 2nd in the $25,000 Ariat G.P. in Saugerties, NY (Solaman), 3rd in the $50,000 HITS G.P., Saugerties, NY (Calibur), 2nd in the $40,000 Kubota Cup G.P., Halifax, NS (Calibur), and 4th in the $100,000 Kubota Cup Canadian Final at The Royal, Toronto, ON (Calibur).
In 2009, Kelley and David’s focus was on developing a string of up-and-coming horses including Cayotee, Enzo, Baretta and Caberlay and working with clients and their horses.
